Hi, is there a way to emulate the function keys F1-F12 in remote desktop? This means that users get a bunch of additional features and various options to tinker around with. have stopped working.
For instance, when I press F9 to insert a clip from the viewer to the timeline the result is that the desktop open windows are shown. I know that this is a known issue, but anyway I would like to try my luck. Bit of a stubborn fault here in my 2011 MacBook Pro which I suspect is hardware related but we’ll see! Firstly, you get a smart sidebar on the home screen that houses commands like screenshot, screen recording and block banner notification. I read on other forums that they would work with a long delay in between pressing it and it actually working, but they have stopped working altogether for me. Every other key works fine including the rest of the top row. The functions don’t work, Fn doesn’t do anything, neither does the “Use standard function keys” setting. Are there any keypresses that i can assign to emulate the F9 key? F9 performs exactly the same function(s) on the mac version of Excel as on the windows version. The Rewind, Play/Pause, and Skip buttons (F7, F8, F9) on my Macbook Pro 13in. Not happy. Apple's smallest professional computer is nearing its inevitable update after the 16-inch MacBook Pro and 2020 MacBook Air both saw updates this past year. I'm running a program on my remote computer (win xp) that uses F9 as a shortcut, however when I press F9 expose still activates. This is driving me a little bit crazy. Only had this Intel-based MacBook Pro for a few days (received on 10/1) and already an issue. Glancing at the F keys on a Mac keyboard, you’ll see an icon if you look above the function key number, and that icon shows what else the key can do. The F1-F9 keys aren’t registering at all on my keyboard.
I have to go into System Preferences>Display and then use the "Brightness" Slider bar to adjust it. Very annoying.
On startup, neither the F9 or F10 brightness keys work.
On both, iMac and MacBook Pro, media keys not working since High Sierra upgrade. PS: Perhaps this is not the place to ask. Fix … ? Oppo is offering the F9 Pro with Android 8.1 Oreo with a custom ColorOS version 5.2 on the top. You must have some keyboard or system shortcut trapping F9. I'm trying to learn some useful keyboard commands, but have difficulty with the F (function) keys at the top of the keyboard. In my old PC days I used to press either F5 or F9 (I can't remember) to have Excel recalculate.. What is the Mac equivalent? These are called function keys and all have Fx written on them, where x x is replaced with a number, like F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12.
